Planning your menu

What to confirm when planning a kosher menu.

The most important decisions to make early are the kosher category and the event format. These two choices shape everything that follows, from ingredient sourcing and preparation to serving arrangements and labelling.

  • Meat events require fully meat-based menus with no dairy items on the same menu. Best for dinners and formal lunches.
  • Pareve menus use neither meat nor dairy, making them the most flexible for mixed groups where some guests may have additional preferences.
  • Dairy options are available on request — confirm at the enquiry stage.
  • Format and portion size depend on the event, buffet, plated, platter, finger food, or packed for travel.
  • Dietary notes beyond standard kosher requirements, allergies, intolerances, or medical restrictions, should be shared at the enquiry stage.
